So, you know, we're a few days into 2025. Time to declare my word to live by this year. Well, surprise - it's three words this year - more of a phrase, in fact.
More or Less. As in years past, this has several meanings. One of them is basically an equivocation. Is everything OK? More or less. I like the option of ambiguity because it's always open to change and re-evaluation.
But the other way I want to see this as a binary way of decision making.
More water. Less soda. More exercise, less doom-scrolling. So maybe in a way, it's both more AND less? I don't know regardless, that's the phrase that pays this year.
My color of the year, because that nasty fecal brown that Pantone is shilling is NOT for me, is a Behr Paint shade I saw at Home Depot called Top Tomato:
I chose the shade before I knew the name of the color, but it's kind of perfect, isn't it? I don't know that I'd want an entire room of Top Tomato, but as a trim, or a single chair, or... I don't know. Accents of Top Tomato? A pop of Top Tomato, if you will? Delightful.
So, I'm not doing resolutions this year, per se, and I'll be dealing in mores and lesses for the foreseeable future.
It's ok with me, more or less.
