Y'all, I am tired. TIE. ERT.
I love my job, but the new hire trainees this session require some serious energy.
Family is wonderful, but they take it out of you.
And that's my take, heading into a long weekend with the family. Both sides - I love them, but there's energy expended.
I took a three hour nap on Sunday. I think I was moderately rundown to begin with, but add to that a double shot of science - I got my flu vax and covid booster on the same day earlier that week. I still have a Moderna welt on my left arm.
Piper is once again sitting out the holiday. I wish she could travel with us, and at Christmas, she just might. But even that is just so that we can kennel her in Roswell because I forgot to book here soon enough. No big deal.
But rest assured, I am tired, I am stressed - but I am most of all thankful.
For family, friends, my dog, my job, my colleagues. For UGA Football, books to read, clean clothes, a warm home. A working car and money to put gas in the tank and air in the tires.
I am beyond grateful for all of it.
May your turkey be moist, your gravy from scratch (and plentiful), and be thankful for what you have, what you avoided getting, and everything in between.
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all.
