Gotcha

So many little things happening.  Where to begin?

Well, for starters, Piper's friend came over last night.  He slipped through his fence and put his head under the gate.  So we let him in.  He and Piper chased each other for 15 minutes straight.  Then I got them both some water.  He is a loud drinker.   We put them both on leashes, then put him back in his yard.

Piper was WORN OUT the rest of the night.  It was delightful.  I think her friend had fun, too.

Ebony and Ivory, Side By Side in my Back Yard, oh Lord, Why don't we?

My hope is that we'll get him over to play from time to time.  He's a sweet boy, and he was sweet with my girl.

As for me, I get my kicks from goats.  And headbutts, and the occasional nibble.  My friends at Shenanigoats were having a "cuddle sesh" - basically, they had some babies that needed to be held by humans.  So I held the shit out of some baby goats.

The breed is American Lamancha - but you can call her Milk Dud.  Melts in your lap, not in your mouth.

I was going to go for just an hour or two, ended up staying nearly four.  Had I not been hungry (and needing to feed Matt as well), I'd have stayed til they kicked me out.  I freaking love these little kids.  And here's some great news.  My friend has some goats coming to eat his back yard - he has a steep slope with a ton of overgrowth.  I'm going to go see them tonight after work.  I cannot wait!

In other non goat/dog related news, I feel like I could go to bed and sleep for a month.  I can't, but I could, and I would.   I could also use a massage, and of course, a pedicure.  And a diet, and some exercise.

I have a lot coming up in re: travel and events - all good stuff, but daunting if I think about it, and of course, I have to think about it because... planning!  Fail to plan, plan to fail.

It's a good time to be me, honestly.

Now I want to cuddle a goat. Which is fine. Let me go find a damn goat.

There's just something about goats that warms my heart. And there's something about dogs playing together that has the same effect. Maybe it's because the one rule in dog games is that everybody plays, everybody wins.
