Who am I this year?

I love Halloween.  Luuuurve it.

I've dressed up for nine Halloweens with this company, and here they are - my costumes from least favorite to favorite.  Spoiler - even my least favorite is AWESOME.

9.    Zombie Prom Queen:

This is one that should have been a no brainer, but it just fell flat.  Too bad.  I went to the bank in this one, and they LOVED it.

8.  Circus/Lion (Group costume):

This was not my finest work, but I rocked it.  I can't find a group photo.  Our theme (Circus) was a little bit of of a statement.

7.  Clemmy - Reno 911:

This was the first year I was here and I cannot locate a picture.  It was fun, I wore a wig and my friend Nick went as Dangle.  It was a good year.

6.  Unhappy Camper:

This had some political snark to it.  Morale was a little low, and I decided to make light of it.  Plus, blood, gore and bruises.  My FAVORITE.  True story: I went to the car wash after work, and scared the poor guy running the place.

5. Mad Men:

I'm quasi-Joan, and I fucking love our expressions in this picture.  Those are candy cigarettes, and tea in the glasses.  But man, we nailed it.  We didn't win anything, and I bitched loudly.

4.  Little Debbie:

This is this year's submission.  It's clever, but not transformative.  It was well received.  Maybe just because I have a ton of snack cakes.  I'm fine with that.

3.

This was my second year at PureSafety, and I won 3rd place for this one.  I spent a ton of time on this one, including the makeup, etc.  The belt is an old leash of Lola's.

2.  Turkey Buzzard:

Here I am with my friend Colby, who came as Roadkill.  We did not plan this, but ended up winning Best Duo.  Hard to see the work that went into this, but those wings are all feathers.  I had to run home and meet a roofer in this get up.  I flipping loved this costume.

1.  50 Shades of Gray:

Not everyone loves a punny costume, but I do.  Oh, yes, yes I do.  This one evolved over many trips to Home Depot, Lowes, Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams.   It's also a peek into what I'll look like when I go full gray.  Assuming I don't lose all my hair before then (and at the rate it is falling out, that's not entirely out of the question).  The attention to detail was phenomenal.  Not everyone got this one right away, but it was my favorite.  I also looked pretty cute, if you want to know my opinion.

I already have an idea for next year.  It's kind of a shame that it's only once a year.
